The Minister of Education of the Government of National Unity, Mousa Al-Magaryef, discussed with the Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, preparations for implementing municipal elections, which will be held for the first time under the supervision of the HNEC.
The two sides discussed the requirements of the electoral process and the timetable prepared for implementing the elections for 98 municipalities at once in 2024, as well as awareness-raising efforts and motivating citizens to register.
They discussed the Education Ministry's provision for the HNEC with a list of the names of electoral centers, as they confirmed the continuation of joint communication in implementation of their cooperation frameworks to ensure the success of the electoral process.
Al-Magaryef stressed his support for the electoral process and support to create the appropriate conditions for holding the elections at educational institutions that will be used as electoral centers.
