A Buraq Air flight was rerouted to Mitiga Airport this morning in an emergency landing after one of the passengers became extremely ill on board a schedule flight to Tobruk.
The head of the transport office at Mitiga, Mustafa AbuDara, stated that the captain of the flight had no choice but to return to Mitiga and land the Airbus plane after a female passenger began complaining of respiratory problems.
AbuDara also denied early reports that the plane was hijacked, stressing that this type of incident occurs from time to time.
