The meetings of Arab Foreign Ministers concluded in Algeria on Sunday with an agreement on all items on the agenda of the Arab League summit scheduled on 1-2 November.

After the meetings ended, the Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, told reporters that the Libyan crisis has been included on the agenda by calling for speeding up holding elections and ending the transitional periods,

Media outlets cited a copy of the Arab League's draft resolution on Libya, which will be presented to the Arab leaders at their 31st summit in Algeria, where the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi will be present.

The resolution reaffirms the need to support all efforts to end the Libyan crisis through a Libyan-Libyan solution, and in accordance with United Nations resolutions as well as relevant agreements, which can lead to the exit of foreign mercenaries, fighters and forces from Libyan territory, in addition to achieving the aspirations of the Libyan people to reach elections as soon as possible.

The resolution stressed the need to consolidate the ceasefire, and reject all measures that undermine peace in Libya, calling on all Libyan parties to implement the signed agreements, and to abide by the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Local media reported that there was a verbal dispute between Libyan FM Al-Mangoush and Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry over some articles of the draft resolution. The Egyptian minister insisted on the need to support the Bashagha government, while the Libyan FM insisted on supporting elections and rejecting the transitional periods.
