The Foreign Ministry in the Government of National Unity congratulated the General Secretariat of the Arab League and its member states on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the League’s founding.
In a statement marking the occasion, the ministry emphasized the importance of advancing joint Arab action and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among member states to achieve prosperity and progress for the Arab people and secure the elevated status they deserve among nations worldwide.
The ministry underscored the need to solidify Arab solidarity and enhance joint Arab action by developing the working mechanisms of the Arab League to effectively respond to the regional and international challenges facing the Arab nations and the world.
The statement called for strengthening the Arab League’s capacity to confront these challenges by unifying Arab visions and positions and increasing the League’s ability to defend just Arab causes, with the Palestinian Cause at the forefront.
The ministry also called for building strategic partnerships to enhance the Arab League’s international standing and contribute to achieving growth, prosperity, and progress for the region’s peoples while safeguarding the rights of future generations.
