The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity called on Libyan citizens in South Korea to be cautious due to the exceptional circumstances the country is going through, calling on Libyans in Korea to adhere to the instructions issued by the authorities in order to avoid any emergency in such security circumstances.
It also indicated that it had given instructions to the Libyan embassy in Seoul to provide all forms of urgent assistance and services to them to overcome the consequences of the current events.
South Korean President announced the imposition of emergency martial law, accusing the opposition in the country of controlling parliament, sympathizing with North Korea, and disrupting government work.
During a televised press briefing, the President confirmed his intention to "eliminate the forces supporting North Korea and protect the constitutional democratic system," before announcing later the lifting of martial law across the country, after parliament voted to cancel it hours after he had approved its implementation.
