kidnapping

The Security Directorates Support Apparatus in the Regions reported the release of four Bangladeshis after they were detained inside a house in the Airport Road area, south of Tripoli.

The Apparatus explained that the Bangladeshis were kidnapped while they were leaving a mosque in a Libyan city, without indicating the time of the kidnapping or the name of the city.

The people were transported by cargo truck with their hands tied for a distance of about 250 kilometers until they reached the detention center on Airport Road, which is a den for the kidnappers, according to the Apparatus.

The kidnappers asked the four Bangladeshis to pay 50,000 dinars in exchange for their release, before "the police and members of the 111th Brigade were able to reach them."

The Apparatus confirmed the arrest of one of the accused in kidnapping the Bangladeshis, while the search was ongoing for the rest of those involved.
