The Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee at Brega Oil Marketing is about to adopt new measures and take some final steps to end the fuel crisis in the country, the committee has announced on its Facebook page, saying this decision would eventually lead to the end of the committee’s work.

“It’s not reasonable to continue working without any essential solutions to the fuel crisis,” the committee justified its decision.

It proposed a number of plans to tackle the crises and said it has already started coordinating with some state authorities to implement them.

“One of the plans is to stop supplying petrol stations with cooking gas, in addition to preparations to open 30 gas distribution centers under Brega Oil Marketing to deal with people directly,” the committee said.

It also proposed building new petrol stations under Brega Oil Marketing, calling on the concerned authorities in Libya to launch a large-scale air and sea operation to stop fuel smuggling into neighboring countries.
