The CEO of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) Abdul Majeed Hamza, revealed Tuesday, that the company has completed contracts to install four new power plants by the beginning of next year.

Hamza clarified in a press statement that the overall situation of the network is stable and the teams are working to disconnect the random connections, maintenance of stations and transmission lines, in order to accommodate the additional power load that multiply during the winter.

Hamza said earlier that the company is seeking solutions that will end the electricity crisis following consultation with the Audit Bureau regarding the suspension of previous contracts with companies to establish power stations, pointing out that the power outage crisis might be resolved by the summer of 2019.
