A meeting to review security situations in Libya held at the GNC on Monday 21. The meeting, which brought together the GNC Committee of Security and Defence Affairs, Prime Minister of Salvation Government Khalifa Al-Ghweil, Chief of Staff Jadallah Al-Obaidi and Chief of Intelligence Mustafa Noah, focused on the security situations in the country and ways and means of protecting the capital from any sabotage acts.

The deteriorating security situations on the highway between Tripoli and Al-Zawiya, where pro-Tribes Army bandits are active, were also discussed. The participants agreed to task revolutionary fighters from all the cities situated along the highway to protect their administrative borders and prevent any security breaches.

The meeting also dealt with ways of sending aid and support to Al-Kufra revolutionaries following the failed attack by Khalifa Haftar-linked foreign mercenaries to gain control of the city.

On Sunday 20, a convoy of 40 military vehicles attacked Al-Kufra from the northern side, but pro-GNC and Libya Dawn revolutionary fighters clashed with the invaders and crushed them. Around 40 mercenaries were killed and 15 of their military vehicles were set ablaze.
