28 cadets were killed and 23 others wounded in an airstrike by warlord Khalifa Haftar’s UAE and Egypt-backed air force militia on Tripoli Military College on Saturday night.

The Government of National Accord condemned the airstrike and declared three days of mourning in the country.

Reacting to the airstrike, Minister of Interior Fathi Bashagha urged the government to cut ties with the United Arab Emirates immediately

Shortly after the massacre, thousands of people went to the streets of Tripoli and other Western Libya cities to denounce the airstrike chanting anti-Haftar, UAE and Egypt slogans.
