Pro-Khalifa Haftar demonstrators marched Friday in Dignity Operation stronghold city of Al-Marij to demand the formation of a military council, headed by the rogue General, to rule Libya after October when the constitutionally specified term for Tobruk parliament expires.

The demonstrators also denounced the ongoing Libyan political dialogue including the latest Geneva round saying it's a dialogue with what they dubbed as terrorists.

Rogue General Khalifa Haftar is intending to announce a military council to rule the country after October, in a bid to copy his Egyptian icon Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi's coup d'etat.

Haftar's forces have been fighting for the control of Benghazi for more than a year now but no tangible results were achieved. Instead, the city has turned into a ghost town with thousands of people fleeing the ongoing fighting.

Tobruk parliament member Essam Al-Jahani, an influential federalist, suggested Saturday that the only solution amid dialogue efforts, which he described as a plot and betrayal, is to announce Cyrenaica parliament and activate the un-amended 1951 constitution.
