The Municipal Council, wise men, notables, and civil society institutions in the Municipality of Ghat have expressed their abhorrence after a group of pro-Haftar's militias prevented a visit scheduled for Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah to the city on Tuesday.

In statements to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, Ghat's MP Nasr Yusuf confirmed that Haftar's militias prevented the visit; Assuming there is no prior coordination.

MP Yusuf also denounced this act, calling on all residents of Ghat to take a serious stand to achieve the city's interests.

For its part, the Municipal Council of Ghat denied the lack of coordination for this visit. It said that it had held several meetings in preparation for the PM's planned tour to the city.

The council discussed with the concerned authorities providing security to the MP during his visit and prepared several notes explaining the urgent development and services that the region needs, including suspended projects such as the Ghat General Hospital, according to Ghat's council.

Ghat's Municipal Council urged PM Dbeibah, his deputy and cabinet members, to visit the city as soon as possible.
