President of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, stressed the need to be apprised of the UN-backed National Conference agenda and its potential outcomes.
In a briefing to members of the HCS, Al-Mishri emphasized the importance of knowing the list of invitees to the conference and on what basis they were invited, underlining that guarantees for implementing the conference outcomes should be clarified.
"The UN envoy Ghassan Salame was less optimistic about the meeting after some parties demanded to know the results of the conference before it was approved; however, after Abu Dhabi meeting, the mission expeditiously began preparations for the conference as if the outlines of the outcomes became known in advance," Al-mishri said.
