The President of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid al-Mishri said Monday that the HCS have started communications with some members of the House of Representatives (HoR) to hold a meeting with the Speaker of the HoR Aqila Saleh next week.

Al-Mishri revealed during a meeting in Tripoli with Turkish ambassador to Libya Ahmet Dogan that the HCS will provide a vision to resolve the crisis in Libya and solutions to the outstanding issues, including the financial and economic files, the constitution and the elections.

He also provided details of the roadmap of the HCS in the coming period, noting that they are willing to reach out to the House of Representatives as soon as possible, according to the official page of the HCS.

Al-Mishri expressed his confidence in the role of Turkey, praising what he described its positive support and efforts to bring security and stability to Libya.

He also expressed his regret for not reaching a solution to the incident of Turkish engineers who were abducted in southern Libya, confirming that the HCS will continue to work assiduously in order to reach a solution to this case.

For his part, the Turkish ambassador confirmed his country's support for Libya under the umbrella of the political agreement and praised the role played by the High Council of State in the political process, pointing out that Turkey will always be open to all Libyans from the east, west, and south of the country.
