The Ministry of Health has denied issuing any statements about the number of casualties from recent clashes in Tripoli.
In a post shared on its official Facebook page, the ministry said neither it nor any of its representatives had provided figures related to injuries or deaths following the violence in the capital.
“All information circulated in this context is inaccurate,” the statement read.
The ministry stressed that official statements are issued exclusively through its authorised platforms and urged media outlets to verify their sources and refrain from publishing unconfirmed reports.
In a related development, the Emergency Medicine and Support Centre also firmly denied making any statements about the number of wounded or fatalities during the clashes in Tripoli.
In its own Facebook statement, the centre called on all media outlets to exercise accuracy and credibility, and to obtain sensitive information only from official sources — specifically, its official page or designated spokesman.
