Any political agreement that does not respect the judiciary or comply with its provisions and rulings is rejected, five of Tobruk parliament boycotters declared Saturday.
Abdul Rauf Al-Manaee, Ammar Al-Ablaq, Mohammed Al-Darrat, Hanan Shalluf and Rabia Abu Ras said in a joint statement "the dialogue that is going on in the Moroccan city of Skhirat is an attempt to pick up the remnant of the HoR and gain ‘narrow interests’ which, does not establish a homeland for the Libyans."
The five elected members explained that they left the HoR on the fourth of August 2014 for a constitutional dispute over the place to parliament meetings, which lies within the power of GNC President Nuri Abu Sahmain to decide and not of the oldest member in the HoR, Abu Bakre Biaira.
They added that their disagreement with HoR became essential when the latter took steps to introduce foreign intervention and bombing of revolutionaries by air force of what they called the mini-state of UAE.
The statement further denounced the HoR classification of the revolutionaries as terrorists as well as the HoR coalition with renegade, General Khalifa Haftar, especially as the President of the HoR Aqailah Saleh was one of those who paid allegiance to ex-dictator Gaddafi ten days before the start of the revolution, according to the statement.
The Head of the UNSMIL, Bernardino Leon, announced in Skhirat on Friday, that an agreement between Tobruk Parliament delegation and boycotters on addressing Libya’s new transitional phase has been reached.
