Members of the roadmap committee from the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) on Sunday convened a meeting to discuss the task, purpose, and mechanism of work.

The committee indicated in a press briefing that the discussion at this stage will focus on the constitutional track in consultation with all parties to broaden the base of participation and reach a consensus as soon as possible.

The roadmap committee had announced earlier that it would hold upcoming meetings with the HCS, the Constituent Assembly for Drafting the Constitution, the Presidential Council, and political parties.

The committee formed by the HoR upon the cancelation of the 24 December vote pledged to hold meetings with Libyan political, military, security, and all parties concerned with the political process, in order to expand the base of participation and listen to all opinions and proposals regarding the next phase.
