‎The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, said that 50 members submitted a memorandum to end the term of the Government of National Unity (GNU), and to consider the government assigned by the House of Representatives headed by Osama Hamad as the "legitimate government", in addition to withdrawing the title of Commander-in-Chief of the Army from the Presidential Council (PC), and to give the title to the Speaker of the HoR, according to HoR spokesman Abdullah Blehiq.

‎Earlier, the House of Representatives denounced the decision of the Head of the PC regarding the establishment of an independent referendum and survey body, describing the decision as a dangerous and unjustified step. It considered in a statement the decision to be in violation of the constitutional declaration. It also considered that this step cannot be taken by one party alone in light of the transitional circumstances that the country is going through, while at the same time reserving its right to bypass the High National Elections Commission by establishing independent financial bodies.

PC's Head Mohammed Menfi issued a decision to establish the “National Commission for Referendum and National Survey” for the purpose of implementing referendums and national surveys, from preparation and planning to supervising voting and sorting results.
