Zuwara Special Intervention Squad (SIS) have arrested three Libyan human smugglers accused of organizing illegal immigration trips from Zuwara to Europe.

The apprehension came after the tragic drowning of a boat stuffed with immigrants off Zuwara shore causing more than a hundred souls to die.

In a statement, the SIS indicated that it had gotten vital information about the smugglers involved in the incident upon interrogating those who survived the disastrous drowning of the boat.

“The arrests squad swiftly spotted the locations of those smugglers and then raided the locations and busted three human smugglers gang members, identified as N.N.A 29 years old, A.N.A 23 and A.A.K.L 21 years old.” The SIS concluded.
