An international scientific conference aimed at reducing unemployment rates in Libya kicked off in Benghazi on Saturday under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Labour in the east-based parallel government.
According to an official statement, the conference is organized by the General Authority for Employment under the Ministry of Labour, with representatives from Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco attending the opening, along with participants from various Libyan cities.
Held under the theme "The Role of Small and Medium Enterprises in Reducing Unemployment in Libya," several members of the House of Representatives and ministers attended the conference's opening.
The statement noted that the conference seeks to highlight the importance of supporting small and medium enterprises in Libya as an effective tool to curb unemployment and assess the role of the General Authority for Employment in supporting Libyan youth and promoting an entrepreneurial culture.
The conference sessions will cover various topics related to economic changes, the culture of entrepreneurship, the challenges of establishing small enterprises, and financing mechanisms.
