The Italian Embassy in Tripoli announced Monday that it is going to start issuing visas for Libyan citizens from its headquarters in the capital starting April 02.

On Twitter, the Italian Embassy said the visa procedures will start on April 02, adding that more details will follow on its website and Twitter account.

When the Italian Embassy reopened in Tripoli in mid-January this year, the ambassador, Giuseppe Perrone, confirmed that his country's embassy will start giving visas for Libyan nationals by February, saying that a new air route between Tripoli and Rome will be also launched.
