The Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said military solutions won't bring about stability to Libya.

Conte said in a televised statement with Adnkronos in Rome on Monday that instead of the military solution, Libyans need to work for a political solution.

He said his government has been working to convince all state leaders to leave out the military solution as it doesn't achieve stability and doesn't end extremism and terrorism.

Conte said Germany is facing hurdles in attempts to bring together all active actors in the Libyan conflict at Berlin international conference, whose date hasn't been set yet.

He indicated that Palermo conference of November 2018 was successful as Italy managed to gather all parties and its reliabe role by the international community.

Meanwhile, media reports said Germany had to delay Berlin conference to March 2020 after failing to gather all stakeholders in the Libyan crisis.
