IDPs from the mountain city of Kikla staged a protest in Algeria Square of Tripoli on Sunday to commemorate the first anniversary of the storming of their town and the displacement of its citizens by Zintani militias.

More than 20.000 people have been forced to leave their town last year.

The protesters held Al-Thanni government and the dissolved parliament of Tobruk responsible for the destruction of their city.

They also called for the immediate release of prisoners in Zintani prisons.

The Berber city is still occupied by the Zintani militias, allied with Haftar's forces, despite several initiatives for reconciliation.
