Libya's Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, arrived on Saturday in the occupied Palestinian territories at the head of a Libyan delegation.

At the Palestinian authority's HQ in Ramallah, minister Al-Abed discussed with his Palestinian counterpart, Nasri Abu Jaish, mechanisms of cooperation in the field of employment.

Al-Abed is the first Libyan minister to visit Palestine. He was accompanied by the Palestinian Ambassador to Libya, Muhammad Rahal.

The Libyan delegation affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries and their government's continued support for the Palestinians and their cause.

The two sides reviewed the mutual agreements they signed last year concerning providing thousands of job opportunities for Palestinians in Libya and the mechanisms for its implementation.
