Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra has reiterated his country's keenness on the security and stability of Libya, expressing support to withdraw all foreign fighters and mercenaries from Libyan territories.

Speaking to the Russian Sputnik news agency, Lamamra underscored that the withdrawal of foreign fighters is crucial to ensure genuine elections, free from outside influence so that Libya will regain its independence and sovereignty.

But he did stress that the evacuating process must be carried out in a structured manner otherwise, it will disrupt the stability of neighboring countries.

The meeting that grouped the neighboring countries of Libya built its discussions on the positions launched by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune regarding Libya, the Algerian minister said, underscoring that his government considers the capital, Tripoli, a red line, and will make every effort to support the brotherly Libyan people, as he put it.
