Libyan Crimes Watch has confirmed the kidnapping of a resident from the city of Sirte by an armed militia group affiliated with Haftar.
According to the organization, the gunmen were traveling in a military vehicle belonging to the 106th Brigade of Haftar's militias.
The man identified to be Ramadan Salem Gaddafi was abducted last Thursday, and his fate is still unknown.
The LCW reported earlier that the same militia opened fire indiscriminately at a petrol station in the Bouhadi area where people lined up in their vehicles. As a result, two people were injured and transferred to Ibn Sina Hospital for treatment.
Brigadier General Abdul Hadi Darah, a spokesman for the Sirte Al-Jufra Operations Room, had confirmed that they had tracked movements of the Russian Wagner mercenaries in Sirte after their temporary withdrawal.
The Wagner fighters were pulled out of the city, which is under their control, so the MP's would hold a session to grant confidence to the Government of National Unity.
