A leaked audio obtained by Al-Nabaa TV unveils how Dignity Operation's officials have been plotting a scheme to be aired on their media outlets and social media to deform the forces of Benghazi Defense Brigades (BDB).

A phone call between the former advisor of the House of Representatives' Dialogue Team, Mahmoud Al-Musrati, and one of the officers under the command of Khalifa Haftar, shows how the two agreed on willingly spreading out fake news about the BDB for the public, with both of them proposing to associate the BDB forces with Al-Qaeda and terrorist groups.

"Don't say they are the families displaced from Benghazi, we have to say they are Al-Qaeda affiliates." The officer tells Al-Musrati, who proposes to let go with Al-Qaeda association and use more effective terms to scare the public and the international community of the forces of BDB.

"We can even say that they are affiliates of IS and we can make propaganda and convince the public that there are Tunisians from IS militants with them, besides convincing the public that they are Al-Qaeda." Al-Musrati responds to the military man.

"We need to act, the public opinion of Cyrenaica people is changing, they know the BDB are the residents of Benghazi. We need to convince them that they are extremists." The military officer inisists.

Al-Musrati and the Dingity Operation military officer's leaked phone call also disclosed how the Haftar-led forces used the Egyptian warplanes to carry out airstrikes on Jufra city, where BDB forces are positioned.

"The Egyprian military, not the Russian. we agreed with the Egyptians to bomb Jufra city." Al-Musrati said.

The leaks also revealed how the former Libyan Ambassador to the UAE, Aref Al-Nayed, is pushing against the BDB's reputation in the international circles.

The two men also disclosed in their phonecall that there is a continuous communication between IS militants and Dignity Operation.

"You have to contact IS militants in Bani Walid valleys and tell them not to move along. You know, we have agreed with them to withdraw from Benghazi and position themselves in those valleys. Ask them to stay there." The military officer told Al-Musrati.

"Don't worry about that." Al-Musrati added, saying thay also won Al-Awaqir tribesmen and encouraged them to encounter BDB forces by giving one of their elders, Ebrik Allowati, an armoured vehicle as a gift.

Dignity Operation and its affiliated media outlets are playing Al-Qaeda to describe the forces of the BDB card to frighten the international community into supporting Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled army over political opponents.

They also use “war on terror” as a pretext to fight rival armed groups.

Benghazi Defense Brigades (BDB) launched early on Friday a fresh military operation to facilitate the return of Benghazi IDPs to their city, according to Boshra News Agency, the news outlet of Benghazi Shura Council.

The BDB forces took control of Ras Lanuf oil terminal and airport as well as Essidra oil terminal in central Libya, in addition to Ben Jawad and Nofaliya towns, in a surprise attack on Dignity Operation forces there.
