The joint consular committee between Libya and Tunisia concluded its work in Tripoli, chaired by the Director of the Libyan Consular Affairs Department, Najat Shaif, and her Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Tarjuman.
Over two days, the two sides discussed issues related to the affairs of the two communities, regulating transit movement, and resolving common problems.
The two sides agreed to simplify consular procedures, grant visa and residency facilitation, and enhance coordination to combat irregular migration and human trafficking.
They also agreed to hold regular meetings to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides expressed their satisfaction with the atmosphere of cooperation, affirming their commitment to continuing consultations to serve the interests of both peoples.
