The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chadian Minister of Public Service and Social Dialogue, Abdallah Amidou Mbabi, to organize the movement of workforce. This came during a meeting held on Tuesday at the Ministry's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.
The media office of the Ministry of Labor stated that the MoU aimed to enhance joint cooperation between Libya and Chad in several areas, including organizing and moving workforce, and protecting the rights of workers and employers.
Al-Abed expressed his thanks for the serious efforts to enhance joint cooperation with Chad in the field of labor, stressing that this memorandum comes within the framework of Libya's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and organize the presence of labor in Libya legally.
The Chadian Minister thanked Libya for signing this memorandum, which contributes to protecting workers' rights and promoting work in accordance with the legal procedures in force in both countries, noting that relations between Libya and Chad are strong and solid in the field of labor.
