The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity has condemned the Israeli entity’s announcement of establishing an agency for the so-called voluntary departure of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

In the same statement issued Thursday, the Ministry also denounced the Israeli recognition of 13 new settlements in the West Bank.

The Ministry stressed that any departure of Palestinians taking place under war, amid calls for displacement, and policies of siege and starvation, constitutes forced displacement, a war crime, and a blatant violation of human rights under international law.

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community and the UN Security Council to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, to take a firm and effective stance against these violations, and to pursue practical steps to restore the rights of the Palestinian people.

The statement reaffirmed Libya’s  solidarity and position, both leadership and people,  in support of the just cause of the Palestinian people.
