‎The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, agreed on Sunday with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, to enhance efforts to advance the Libyan-Libyan dialogue process, and they reaffirmed their support for the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

Al-Baour and Fidan met on the sidelines of Türkiye-Africa Ministerial Conference held in Djibouti, where the two parties reaffirmed their satisfaction with the distinguished level of partnership between Turkey and Africa, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides stressed the need to unify Arab and Islamic efforts in order to confront the ongoing Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people, and to support the Sudanese people in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Sudan.

They expressed their aspiration for further consultation and strengthening positions on various regional and international issues to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries and the region.

Al-Baour also announced during the summit Libya's readiness to host the fourth Türkiye-Africa Partnership Summit in 2026, stressing Libya's commitment to providing the appropriate conditions for its success.
