The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Abdulsadiq, and the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khalid Al-Dosari, discussed preparing a draft memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in various fields in the oil and gas sector.
This came during a meeting on Thursday attended by the Director General of Technical Affairs and the Director General of Planning and Follow-up at the Ministry of Oil, according to a statement by the Ministry on its Facebook page.
The Qatari Ambassador expressed his country's readiness to open the doors of cooperation in all fields to support development and stability for the Libyan people.
Abdul-Sadiq talked about the development of the oil and gas sector and the ministry's vision in this regard, stressing the importance of international companies with experience to contribute to the development and exploration of unexplored land and sea areas, and the possibility of the two countries benefiting from developing cadres as well as exchanging expertise in the oil and gas sector.
Abdulsadiq discussed earlier with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy in Libya cooperation in oil and other economic sectors.
