The Libyan permanent mission to the United Nations reiterated Libya's position in support of the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Libyan mission expressed its concern about Israel's continuing policies, the continued establishment of settlements and the demolition of Palestinian buildings and homes.
The mission rejected the closures, the continued construction of separation walls by Israel, and the imposition of restrictions on access and movement of Palestinians, adding that what Israel is doing is a flagrant violation of international law, as it deprives the Palestinian people of exploiting their natural resources.
The Libyan mission stressed the need to reach a peaceful and just settlement of the Palestinian issue, saying that Libya supports the demands of the Palestinians rejecting Israel's practices.
