Libya took part in the 6th session of the China-Arab Radio and Television Cooperation Forum, which is taking place in the Chinese city of Hangzhou between December 9-11.

Representing Libya was Badr Shaniba, Director of the foreign media department at the Foreign Ministry.

In his address, Shaniba stressed the depth of Chinese-Arab relations and Libya’s interest in enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise with China in all areas of media, including audio-visual production and technology.

The Libyan delegation joined a dialogue on content creation to promote Chinese-Arab friendship under the theme “strengthening conceptual communication between China and Arab countries and technological empowerment in the media."

Libya's participation in the forum was part of its involvement in a media training course held in Beijing under the guidance of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The forum featured the participation of 14 Arab countries, information ministers, and Arab and Chinese audiovisual media officials, in addition to the Arab League and the Arab States Broadcasting Union.
