Criminal Research and Training Centre

The Criminal Research and Training Centre has completed four training courses aimed at equipping 75 deputy prosecutors with fundamental forensic medicine skills.

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, participants were drawn from appellate courts across the country as part of the centre’s training program for the 2024–2025 judicial year.

Officials say the initiative is designed to enhance judicial expertise, improve understanding of forensic sciences relevant to criminal justice, and strengthen legal responses at crime scenes.

Meanwhile, on February 23, a separate training program for a second group of Libyan deputy prosecutors concluded at the French School of Judiciary.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the France-based course focused on international cooperation and the fight against organized crime, with participants gaining insights from French legal experts on best practices and investigative techniques.
