The Chief of Ras Ajdair border guards, Mohammed Jarrafa, said that Ras Ajdair and Wazin Dehiba borders with Tunisia have been reopened Tuesday morning upon the orders of the Interior Ministry in the Salvation Government.

Jarrafa clarified in a press statement that the authorities on the border allowed 18 Libyan trucks to pass through the border on Monday as they were importing commodities. He reaffirmed as well that all Libyan citizens can now pass through the borders with no noticeable troubles.

“The foreigners' electronic system on the border is currently out of order and is under repair.” Jarrafa added.

On March 7, the Tunisian authorities shut down the two borders with Libya over armed clashes in Ben Gardane border city between Tunisian forces and an ISIS group.
