The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has signed a memorandum of understanding for development cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity.
The signing ceremony was held on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HQ in Tripoli, as the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Zeidan stressed that this important step came to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries.
In a statement, the TIKA head Serkan Kaylar, said that they have continued establishing projects for the Libyan people since the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century.
He stressed the importance of the MoU, particularly with regard to TIKA acquiring legal personality in Libya.
In the same context, during the ceremony, the two countries also signed a protocol for the restoration of the tomb of the Ottoman naval commander, Darguth Pasha, in the capital, Tripoli.
