The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected, Monday, that thunderclouds will increase from time to time in the far southern regions, accompanied by scattered rain, especially in the border areas.
The NCM indicated that humidity will remain high in the coastal areas, with a slight increase in temperature over the next two days in the northwestern regions.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Monday, August 12, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Sparsely cloudy, sometimes increasing in some areas.
- Wind: Northeasterly to easterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranges between (31-33°C) in coastal area, and between (35-37°C) in the interior, with relative high humidity, especially in coastal areas, and a slight increase will be recorded over the next two days.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds sometimes spread over the areas of Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar and the far eastern coast.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northerly at moderate speed, sometimes active over Derna and the far eastern coast.
- Temperature: Ranges between (31-36°C) with relative high humidity in coastal areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Sparsely cloudy, increasing over Qatrun and its surroundings, interspersed with scattered rain and thunderstorms.
- Wind: Varying in direction to the northeasterly, with a speed between light and moderate.
- Temperature: Ranging between (35-41°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Rainy thunderclouds that increase from time to time, especially in the border areas, causing some valleys to flow.
- Wind: Changing direction to Northeasterly, active under the influence of thunderclouds.
- Temperature: Ranging between (36-39°C).
