The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected Monday, moderate temperatures in the northwestern regions, while they will be high today in most of the northeast and remain unchanged in southern regions.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Monday, August 19 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds, increasing at times.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northeasterly, moderate to active speed on the coast, especially tomorrow.
- Temperature: Ranging between (31-33°C) in coastal areas, with an increase of humidity and ranges between (34-38°C) in the rest of the regions.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds,
- Wind: Southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: High today, especially in the areas from the Gulf to the Green Mountain, ranging between (35-42°C). A decline will be recorded tomorrow, with relatively high humidity in coastal areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Variable direction, light speed, turning to easterly and southwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-43°C). It will record an increase tomorrow, especially in Ghadames.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear with the appearance of some clouds.
- Wind: Northerly to northeasterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (39-42°C), and a slight increase will be recorded as of today.
