The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected cold winter weather to prevail in the northwestern regions and Ghadames, where temperatures are lower than their monthly average and range during the day between (11-16°C) and are lower at night and early morning with rain (from time to time) especially in the coastal areas and the chance of rain is better tonight in the areas extending from (Ras Jadir to Khums, accompanied by thunderstorms with heavy rain sometimes in these areas, causing water to accumulate in low places.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its daily bulletin that the weather will be relatively moderate today in the rest of the country, especially in the central and southern regions, and clouds will increase tomorrow in some areas of the northeastern region, sometimes interspersed with scattered rain.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Monday, January 13, 2025, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Rain continues (from time to time) in some areas from Ras Jadir to Sirte, the Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountains, especially the coastal areas, and the opportunity is better tonight, accompanied by thunderstorms in the areas extending from Ras Jadir to Khums, which could cause water to accumulate in low places.
- Wind: Westerly to southwesterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active in some areas, especially at coastal areas.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (11-17°C), and expected to record a decrease starting this evening.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy in the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad, increasing starting tomorrow in some areas, sometimes interspersed with scattered rain.
- Wind: Southwesterly to southerly, moderate in speed, sometimes active in some areas, turning tomorrow to northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (16-20 °C), and expected to record a decrease starting tomorrow.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds multiply in the areas of Al-Jufra, Ghadames and Hamada and are few in the areas of Sabha and Ghat.
- Wind: Southwesterly to variable in direction, light to moderate in speed, and northwesterly in Ghadames and Hamada, and tomorrow they will turn to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (18-20 °C), but not expected to be lower than (15°C) in Ghadames, and they will record a decline from tomorrow in most areas.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds appear in the areas of the Oases, Sarir, Tazirbo and Kufra, and sometimes multiply.
- Wind: Southeasterly to southerly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (21-24°C).
