The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, a drop in temperature from Monday afternoon in the northwestern regions with an increase in clouds and a chance of good rain in Al-Qarayat and some areas of the Western Mountain and south of Bani Walid. NCM warned the public to be cautious of the possibility of some valleys flowing.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Sunday, September 8, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase from this afternoon in most areas, accompanied by scattered rain, and it is expected to be good to heavy at times in the areas of Al-Qarayat, Nalut and its surroundings, Yafran, Mizda, south of Tarhuna and Bani Walid, accompanied by thunderstorms, which will cause local valleys to flow. Therefore, caution and care are required according to NCM.
- Wind: Variable in direction, light to moderate in speed, turning in the afternoon to northwesterly, moderate to active in speed due to thunderstorms.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (30-34°C), and a decrease is expected from this afternoon and will be marked from tomorrow.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase tomorrow in most areas, with scattered rain that may be good in the Gulf regions.
- Wind: Northwesterly to variable direction, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (31-36°C), expected to decrease tomorrow in most areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, increasing in the evening in most areas, with a chance of scattered rain that may be good to heavy, especially tomorrow in Hamada, Al-Shawayrif, and the Al-Jufra and Al-Harouj regions, accompanied by thunderstorms, which will cause local valleys to flow.
- Wind: Northeasterly to variable in direction, moderate to light in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (38-41°C). and will record a decrease tomorrow in the Hamada, Ghadames and Hun regions.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds multiply from time to time tomorrow over the oases regions with the possibility of scattered rain
- Wind: Variable wind, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (36-40°C), and will record a decline tomorrow over the oases.
