The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, Clouds to increase today in most areas of the northwest and center with a chance of moderate rain, especially in (Bani Walid - Tarhuna - the area from south of Khums to Misrata - some areas of the Nafusa mountain - Mizdah) and will be heavy in some of these areas accompanied by thunderstorms, which could cause valleys to flow and water to collect in low-lying areas, and the rain clouds will clear tomorrow in most areas.
NCM expected in its daily bulletin that clouds will increase today in the areas of Ghadames and Hamada from time to time with a chance of scattered rain sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, while the weather remains unchanged in the rest of the regions.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Monday, September 23, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds to increase over the areas of Ras Ajdir to Sirte, Al-Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountain, with a chance of moderate rain, especially over (Bani Walid - Tarhuna - from Al-Khums to Misurata - some areas of the mountain - Mizdah) and will be heavy over some of these areas accompanied by thunderstorms, which may cause valleys to flow and water to collect in low-lying areas. The rain clouds will clear tomorrow over most areas.
- Wind: Southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, active during the passage of thunderstorms.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (28-33°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds, sometimes increasing.
- Wind: Northeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Range in most areas between (28-33°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase this evening over the areas of Al-Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames and Al-Hamada, with scattered rain showers sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms.
- Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, sometimes active during the passage of thunderstorms over Ghadames and Al-Hamada.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (37-41°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds will appear over the areas of Al-Wahat, Al-Sarir, Tazerbo and Al-Kufra..
- Wind: Northeasterly to easterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (34-39°C).
