The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected, Saturday, that rainy thunderclouds to remain over the southwestern regions and there is a chance of good rain, while the weather remains unchanged in the rest of the regions.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Saturday, August 17, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear with some clouds.
- Wind: Variable direction to northeasterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranges between (31-34°C) in coastal areas, and between (37-41°C) in the interior, with relatively high humidity, especially in coastal areas, and a slight rise will be recorded tomorrow in some areas.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds, sometimes increasing over the Green Mountain.
- Wind: Northwesterly, moderate sometimes active on the far eastern coast.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (31-35°C) with relatively high humidity in coastal areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderclouds increase from time to time over (the border areas - Murzuq - Al-Qatrun - Ubari and Ghat - Al-Shati and Sebha - Al-Jufra), with good rain falling in some of these areas, which may cause local valleys to flow. NMC cautioned the public to be careful.
- Wind: Variable direction to northwesterly, speed ranges between light and moderate.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-42°C). It will gradually rise over the next two days.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds in Jallu.
- Wind: North to northwesterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (39-41°C), but not expected to exceed 35°C in Kufra.
