The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected, Saturday, relatively low temperature in the northern regions, and active wind in some southern regions, causing dust and sand, and cloud cover, sometimes accompanied by light rain in some central and western regions of the country.
The NCM also expected the weather conditions to remain relatively cold in most areas of the north until the middle of next week, especially in the northeast.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, increasing today and Monday evening, with the possibility of light rain in some areas.
- Wind: Northeasterly to southeasterly, moderate to active in speed at times in some areas.
- Temperature: Temperature expected to range in most areas between (14-18°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, increasing at times.
- Wind: Northeasterly, moderate to active in speed at times.
- Temperature: Ranges between (10-17 °C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, increasing today in the areas extending from Al-Jufra to Sabha and their surroundings, sometimes interspersed with scattered rain.
- Wind: Northeasterly to easterly, moderate to active in speed at times, which may cause dust and sand to be stirred up, and a decrease in horizontal visibility in some areas.
- Temperature: Ranging between (19-23°C), expected not exceed (15°C) in Al-Jufra today.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazerbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, increasing this evening over the oases with the possibility of light rain.
- Wind: Northeasterly to easterly, moderate to active at times, which may cause dust and sand to be stirred up, and a decrease in horizontal visibility in some areas.
- Temperature: Ranging between (16-22°C), reaching (26°C) today in Kufra and decreasing tomorrow.
