The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected scattered rain to continue to fall on most areas of the north, especially the coastal ones, and the opportunity will be better this evening and tomorrow morning in the areas of the Green Mountain and the far eastern coast, sometimes interspersed with thunderstorms.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Saturday, January 04, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Scattered rains will fall on most of the coastal areas of the north extending from Ras Ajdir to Sirte - the interior areas - Tarhuna - Gharyan - Mislata, and the opportunity will gradually decrease tomorrow in the areas extending from Ras Ajdir to Tripoli, with the possibility of fog appearing late at night and early tomorrow morning in some areas of the Nafaus Mountain - Mizdah - Abunjim.
- Wind: Northwesterly, moderate to active in speed on the coastal areas, gradually turning tomorrow to westerly, then southwesterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (13-18°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Scattered rain showers over most of the northern coastal areas, moderate in intensity this evening and tomorrow morning on the Green Mountain and the far eastern coast, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms.
- Wind: Northeasterly, moderate in speed, gradually turning from this evening to northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (13-19 °C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, sometimes increasing, with the possibility of fog appearing late at night and early tomorrow morning in some areas of Al-Jufra.
- Wind: Northwesterly, moderate to active in speed, which may cause dust and dirt to be stirred up in some areas (Sabha - Ubari - Murzuq), gradually turning tomorrow to northeasterly, light in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (15-18 °C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy, increasing tomorrow in most areas.
- Wind: Westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sometimes active in speed on Sarir, Tazerbo and Kufra, which may cause dust and sand.
- Temperature: Ranging between (18-21°C).
