The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected that clouds would increase from time to time in most areas of the northwest of the country on Saturday, accompanied by thunderstorms with a chance of scattered rain. The rain is expected to be good to heavy in some areas, causing some local valleys to flow and water to collect in low places.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Saturday, October 19, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increase in most areas, accompanied by thunderstorms with a chance of scattered rain, expected to be good to heavy in some areas, causing some local valleys to flow and water to collect in low places.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northeasterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active due to descending winds from thunderclouds.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (22-28°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, increasing this evening in most areas.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate speed, sometimes active in some areas.
- Temperature: Range in most areas between (25-31°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, increasing sometimes in Ghadames, Hamada and Al-Jufra.
- Wind: Southeasterly, light to moderate speed, turning northwesterly in Ghadames, Hamada and Al-Jufra.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (29-34°C), decreasing this evening in Ghadames, Hamada and Al-Jufra.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Mostly clear.
- Wind: Northeasterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (28-32°C), and recording a gradual increase starting from tomorrow.
