The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, Saturday, thunderstorms to continue multiplying from time to time in the northwestern regions, with rain expected to be good to heavy in some areas, causing local valleys to flow, and temperature remains relatively high in the northwestern regions.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Saturday, September 7, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderstorms expected to multiply from time to time today in (some areas of the mountain and its south - the interior of the mountain - Al-Qaryat - Tarhuna - Maslata - Mizdah - Bin Walid - some areas of the western coast - southern regions from Tripoli to Sirte), and there is sometimes good to heavy rain in some areas of the mountain and the interior, which could cause some local valleys to flow. NCM warned the public to be cautious.
- Wind: Northeasterly to southeasterly to variable direction, light to moderate speed, active due to descending wind from thunderclouds, turning from Monday evening to northwesterly to northerly, moderate to active speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (33-37°C). and record a gradual decrease starting Monday evening.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increase from time to time this evening over Ras Lanuf and its southern area, with a chance of scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northerly, moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (31-35°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderstorms with rain will multiply from time to time today in the areas of (Ghat and its surroundings - Ghadames and Al-Hamada - the border areas with Algeria) with expected rain falling in some of these areas, which may cause some local valleys to flow.
- Wind: Northeasterly, variable in direction, light to moderate in speed, active due to the descending wind from the thunderclouds.
- Temperature: Ranging between (35-40°C). and an increase is expected tomorrow.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy, and clouds are expected to multiply tomorrow evening in the Oases areas with a slight chance of rain.
- Wind: North to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-41°C).
