The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, weather conditions in Libya today, Saturday, and during the next two days ample chances of rain falling from time to time in the northwestern regions, which will be good to heavy in some areas on Sunday and Monday, causing valleys to flow and water to accumulate in low-lying areas. Therefore, caution is required.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Saturday, September 21, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderstorms will increase from this evening, accompanied by scattered rain in some areas of the mountain and the coast. The chance will be good tomorrow and Monday, especially in the areas located (east of Tripoli to Misrata - Sirte - Gharyan - Tarhuna - Emsalata - Bani Walid) with good to heavy rain in some of these areas, which will cause valleys and torrents to flow and water to accumulate in low-lying areas. Therefore, caution is required.
- Wind: Variable to northeasterly, light to moderate speed, gradually turning tomorrow to southeasterly and active to strong during the passage of thunderclouds.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (27-32°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds multiply from time to time with light rain falling on the Green Mountain areas.
- Wind: Northern to northeasterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Range in most areas between (27-32°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, sometimes multiplying, especially on Sunday over Al-Hamada with scattered rain accompanied by thunderclouds.
- Wind: Variable to northeasterly, then easterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (35-41°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy, sometimes increasing over oases and Sarir.
- Wind: Variable direction to northerly and northeasterly, light speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (36-41°C).
