The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected this afternoon, that the West Coast regions to witness a gradual decline of the hot mass, as temperature in the regions from Ras Jadir to Tripoli range between (31-33°C), while in the rest of the regions, they are between (34-41°C). The decline from this afternoon includes the rest of the regions of the Northwest due to the wind changing to northwesterly with high humidity, and the weather remains unchanged in the rest of the country.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its daily bulletin that thunderclouds would increase from time to time in the farthest areas of the southeast, accompanied by scattered rain during the next two days.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Sunday, August 04, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Northwesterly in the farthest areas of the western coast and southwesterly in the rest of the regions, turning from this afternoon to moderate northwesterly winds that may be active at times in some areas.
- Temperature: Ranges between (31-33°C) in the areas from Ras Jadir to Tripoli, and between (36-42°C) in the rest of the regions, and a decline is recorded this afternoon in most areas, with an increase in humidity factor. A gradual decrease will be recorded starting tomorrow evening and will be marked on Monday.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Westerly to northwesterly moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (31-33°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Variable direction to northeasterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (39-43°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increase over the southernmost areas of Kufra, accompanied by thunderstorms, and they are few in the areas of the oases, Al-Sarir, and Tazerbu.
- Wind: Vary in direction to northeasterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-40°C).
