The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) expected active southeasterly to southerly wind blowing today, causing dust storms in some areas of the north and center of the country and most areas of the northwest and northeast (Ghadames - Hamada - Jafra - Gulf and Benghazi Plain), which may lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility in some of these areas.
The NCM expected in its daily bulletin that temperature will be relatively high today in the western regions and some areas of the northeast, and will gradually decrease from this evening in the northwest - Ghadames and Hamada, and tomorrow in most areas of the west and north
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Sunday, March 02, 2025, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Jafara Plain - Nafusa Mountain (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds in the areas of Ras Jadir to Sirte, the Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountains.
- Wind: Moderate to active wind, causing dust storms today, gradually turning from this evening to northwesterly to northeasterly.
- Temperature: Expected to range in most areas between (23-29°C) and will decrease from this evening.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are expected to increase tomorrow in the Gulf regions and Benghazi Plain up to Emssad.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate to active in speed, especially in some areas of the Gulf and Benghazi Plain, which caused dust and dirt to rise and visibility to drop in some areas, gradually turning to northeasterly in the afternoon tomorrow.
- Temperature: Ranges between (18-25 °C), and is expected to record a decline from the evening of tomorrow.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy in the regions of Al-Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames and Hamada.
- Wind: Southeasterly to southwesterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active today in Ghadames - Hamada and Al-Jufra, which could cause dust to rise and horizontal visibility to drop, gradually turning from this evening to northwesterly in Ghadames and Hamada, and tomorrow includes the rest of the regions.
- Temperature: Ranging between (27-30°C) and will record a decline tomorrow.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazerbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy.
- Wind: Northeasterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active.
- Temperature: Ranging between (23-27°C), expected to record a slight rise tomorrow in the areas of the Oases, Sarir, Tazerbo and Kufra.
